A new stage production of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon – Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo will open in April 2026 at Club eX in Tokyo’s Shinagawa Prince Hotel. The show follows the 2019 theater restaurant, which drew fan interest, and operated in Azabu-Juban. This version promises deeper immersion with original stories and exclusive stage design, including a reimagined narrative that expands on the original series’ universe. The venue, Club eX, is specifically designed to accommodate the production’s dynamic performances, with a focus on creating a multisensory experience that complements the visual and auditory elements of the show.

The production uses a double-cast system: Team Gold Moon and Team Silver Moon will alternate performances. A new enemy, Queen Valsia, is introduced, alongside bespoke costumes, music, and direction. The show includes greeting performances, adding to the experience. Queen Valsia’s storyline is woven into the existing narrative, introducing thematic elements that explore conflict and resolution within the Sailor Guardians’ world. The stage design incorporates interactive lighting and set pieces that shift in response to the action, enhancing the sense of movement and engagement for the audience.
Guests can pre-order exclusive food items through the ticketing site. Options include the “Crystal Bottle Drink,” inspired by the Sailor Guardians, and the “Luna Cut-Out Baumkuchen (Plain),” featuring Luna artwork. The Crystal Bottle Drink lineup includes flavors and colors inspired by the ten Sailor Guardians and Tuxedo Mask, with limited-edition variations themed after the Sailor Starlights available during each character’s birthday period. The “Luna Cut-Out Baumkuchen” includes a custom illustration of Luna, designed to match the production’s visual aesthetic.
